Watch Out: A Cryptocurrency Platform Has Been Hacked, Millions of Dollars Stolen

Blockchain security platform Cyvers Alerts announced that decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Garden Finance suffered a hack worth approximately $6 million. The attack reportedly occurred on multiple blockchain networks. According to Cyvers, the majority of the stolen assets consisted of stablecoins and Bitcoin derivatives like WBTC, USDC, and USDT. However, many of these “freezable” assets have been converted to Ethereum (ETH) and bridged across different networks to make them harder to trace. Following the attack, the GardenFi team sent an on-chain message to the hacker, offering a 10% bounty for the return of the stolen funds. If you choose to return the funds and share the vulnerability with us, your reward is guaranteed. The GardenFi team also urged the attacker to contact them on Discord or Telegram after returning the funds. The attacker is reportedly still moving assets to the Ethereum network through swap and bridge operations. *This is not investment advice.
