JUST IN! Was Turkish Cryptocurrency Exchange BTCTurk Hacked? The Exchange Issues a Statement!

It has been claimed that the Turkish exchange BTCTurk, which previously experienced a major hack in June 2024, has experienced another hack. According to CertiK, a leading blockchain security firm, over $50 million worth of cryptocurrency was withdrawn from three separate wallets. Assessing that the wallets may have been hacked, CertiK stated in its statement that its systems detected multiple warnings on the ETH, AVAX, ARB, BASE, OP, MANTLE and MATIC networks. Certik said that the majority of the withdrawn funds were moved to two addresses, and the attacker completed the transfers and began swapping assets. BtcTurk has made an official statement on the issue for now, stating that crypto deposits and withdrawals have been temporarily disabled due to a technical issue in Hot wallets. Dear users, due to a technical issue in hot wallets, e-cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals have been temporarily disabled. Additional information will be provided when transactions reopen. Buying and selling transactions, as well as Turkish Lira deposits and withdrawals, continue uninterrupted. The exchange had been hacked before. The exchange explained in a statement that the funds stolen by the hacker only included assets held in hot wallets and that a total of 10 cryptocurrencies were affected by the hack.
