On Wednesday, the SEC announced an “accelerated approval” for Nasdaq ISE’s proposal to allow options trading on BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF. Simultaneously, the SEC also approved a request from NYSE American to allow options trading for Bitwise and Grayscale’s Ethereum-based products. In simple terms, this means investors will soon be able to trade options like financial contracts that let you bet on price movements on these Ethereum ETFs, similar to what we already saw earlier with spot Bitcoin ETFs . Why It Matters The approval of options trading adds more flexibility and depth to the crypto investment world.
