Highly Critical Friday in the New Week – SEC and Cryptocurrency Industry to Meet, Here’s All You Need to Know

According to crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett, the SEC’s cryptocurrency Task Force will hold a roundtable discussion with crypto industry leaders on Friday, March 21. Terrett reported that he obtained this information from his own inside sources. However, he recently confirmed the meeting with the SEC in a statement, giving details about the meeting that would last approximately four hours. The talks, which will be held in a series of meetings rather than a single meeting, were officially named “Spring Sprint Towards Crypto Clarity”. According to Terrett, the topic of the first meeting will be “the definition of security classification,” which greatly impacts cryptocurrencies. “I look forward to leveraging the public’s expertise as we develop a workable regulatory framework for crypto,” said Commissioner Hester M. Peirce, who leads the Crypto Task Force. “Roundtables are an important part of our engagement with the public.” Related News: Attention: A Well-Known Scammer Is Reportedly Launching a New Altcoin - Here's the Token to Avoid The list of names that will attend the meetings from the cryptocurrency industry is as follows: Collins Belton – Managing Partner, Brookwood PC Sarah Brennan – General Counsel, Delphi Ventures Chris Brummer – Professor of Financial Technology, Georgetown Law School Lewis Cohen – Co-Chair, CahillNXT Coy Garrison – Partner, Steptoe Teresa Goody Guillen – Partner, BakerHostetler Miles Jennings – General Counsel, a16z crypto Lee Reiners – Lecturer, Duke Center for Financial Economics and Duke Law School Benjamin Schiffrin – Director of Securities Policy, Better Markets Rodrigo Seira – Special Counsel, Cooley LLP John Reed Stark – John Reed Stark Consulting LLC *This is not investment advice.
