After Chainlink Labs, the primary developer contributor of Chainlink, opened its offices in ADGM, the financial center of Abu Dhabi UAE at the end of 2024 as part of its expansion in MENA, Chainlink has now taken it a step further by partnering with ADGM itself to help foster tokenization, AI and DLT technologies in projects registered in ADGM. At the time, Chainlink Labs noted that it plans to utilize its local presence to expand its network of strategic partnerships with financial market infrastructures and financial institutions, better serve its global ecosystem, and continue to build key relationships in the region as demand for tokenized assets surges. Today Chainlink and ADGM have signed an MOU, as a major step to advance compliant tokenization frameworks with support for innovative projects under ADGM’s registration authority. ADGM registered projects will leverage Chainlink technical expertise, insights, and services to maximize the utility of tokenized assets in a regulated compliant manner. Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, CEO of ADGM Registration Authority noted that the alliance will further solidify ADGM’s leadership in blockchain and regulation. He stated, “By collaborating with Chainlink, we are aiming to set a global benchmark that spearheads transparency, security, and trust across the blockchain space.” Chainlink’s market-leading services, including blockchain interoperability and verifiable data solutions, are facilitating liquidity across global markets, enabling over $19 trillion in transaction value. Dialogue on blockchain, AI, emerging tech is part of the MoU Under the MoU, ADGM and Chainlink will foster a dialogue on regulatory matters in blockchain, AI, and other emerging technologies. The agreement also outlines a series of events and workshops aimed at educating the UAE ecosystem on key topics related to blockchain and AI, such as tokenisation, cross-chain interoperability, proof of reserves, and emerging blockchain standards. Angie Walker, Global Head of Banking and Capital Markets at Chainlink Labs and Senior Executive Officer at Chainlink Labs Abu Dhabi conveyed her belief that tokenization projects can thrive in ADGM and that they seek to elevate the blockchain ecosystem in the UAE. She added, “We are excited to see projects under the purview of ADGM Registration Authority adopt the Chainlink standard, enabling seamless compliance, enhanced connectivity across markets, and highly secure on-chain services.” This is not the first ADGM partnership with Blockchain global entities ADGM has partnered with several global Blockchain entities over the past two years, such as Solana Foundation, IOTA, TON, Hacken, Finschia, and others. Most of the collaboration aimed to explore development opportunities within ADGM’s DLT Foundations Regulations. Cryptopolitan Academy: Tired of market swings?
