Bybit PWM posts 20.3%APR top fund return amid volatile crypto markets

Bybit’s private wealth arm reported strong performance in 2025, underscoring a growing preference among wealthy crypto investors for yield-focused and risk-managed strategies over outright directional bets. Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, said its Private Wealth Management (PWM) division delivered a top fund return of 20.30% APR during the year. The performance was driven primarily by USDT-based high-yield strategies, according to the firm’s 2025 annual performance disclosure released on January 7. The results come against the backdrop of a highly volatile cryptocurrency market, where sharp price swings tested both retail and institutional investors. Strong returns from diversified strategies Bybit PWM said its diversified investment approach helped it navigate market uncertainty throughout 2025. While digital asset prices fluctuated sharply, the firm’s focus on structured, yield-generating strategies produced relatively stable outcomes across different asset bases. USDT-based strategies generated an average annual percentage rate of 9.61%, significantly outperforming BTC-based strategies, which delivered an average APR of 4.54%. The standout performance came from the flagship high-yield USDT strategy, which achieved the 20.30% APR. The firm noted that this performance reflects a broader shift among high-net-worth individuals toward diversified portfolios that prioritize capital preservation and steady income rather than exposure to highly volatile price movements. Navigating a challenging macro environment In its annual letter, Bybit PWM highlighted the difficult macroeconomic conditions that shaped investment markets in 2025. These included restrictive central bank policies, uneven regulatory developments, and selective institutional participation that favored established protocols and proven yield strategies. Despite these headwinds, the firm said its Delta Neutral Arbitrage Strategy showed particular resilience. The strategy demonstrated counter-cyclical characteristics, helping limit drawdowns during periods of severe market stress. Bybit PWM said this disciplined, rules-based approach was key to maintaining consistent returns during a year marked by uncertainty. Rather than relying on market direction, the strategies focused on managing risk and exploiting relative pricing inefficiencies. Positioning for improved liquidity in 2026 Looking ahead, Bybit PWM expects market conditions to evolve in 2026, with analysts pointing to a potential return of liquidity across both traditional and digital asset markets. The firm cited several possible catalysts, including increased institutional adoption, greater regulatory clarity in major jurisdictions, and the development of new crypto-linked financial products. Jerry Li, Head of Financial Products and Wealth Management at Bybit, said the firm is positioning client portfolios to benefit from a potential improvement in macro conditions. He added that the same disciplined framework that supported performance in 2025 could help capture upside if liquidity returns. Bybit PWM provides customized investment solutions for qualified investors, offering strategies aligned with individual risk profiles, professional asset allocation, active risk management, and access to curated private funds supported by institutional-grade infrastructure. The 2025 results suggest that, even amid market turbulence, structured and diversified crypto wealth strategies are gaining traction as a way to grow and preserve digital assets across market cycles.
